In 2006, Louis Chenevert was elected to the leadership of United Technologies Corporation. Louis Chenevert brought new growth to the enterprise. Stakeholders and costumers increased during his tenure.

In 2011, Louis Chenevert was recognized for his significant contributions to the industry of aviation. The magazine Aviation Week & Space Technology named him Person of the Year.
